He holds a B.S. degree in Management from Virginia Tech, an MBA from East Tennessee State University, and is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, University of Delaware.

Mr. Broadwater has been awarded the highly coveted designations of Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) by the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) and Mergers & Acquisitions Master Intermediary (M&AMI) by the M&A SOURCE. He is securities licensed, holding both the Series 63 and Series 82 licenses. He is also a licensed real estate agent.

In recognition of his work in the field of business brokerage, his peers honored him in 2010 by making him a Fellow of the IBBA. In May 2017, the International Business Brokers Association further recognized Mr. Broadwater by honoring him with the Lifetime Certified Business Intermediary status.
